Review of THE YEAR THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Book: THE YEAR THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

By: Krusha Sahajwani

Twenty-two-year-old Kinjal is excited about her first ever date. That is until one phone call changes her life as she knows it. The death of a parent is traumatic for anyone, but more so for someone that shared a toxic relationship with the departed one. To make matters worse (or better), she discovers her late father's personal diary and with it many secrets unfold. This book throws you into her world as she navigates this new information, new feelings, changing relationship dynamics, and a new boyfriend, in addition to finding her way with her own career and identity.

Losing our parent(s) is one of the nightmares, Kinjal, a 22-year-old has her nightmare turned into reality. The emotional trauma she goes through in her life is when she discovers the diary of her dead father. The diary completely changes her thoughts, emotions and her self. With every page she reads in her father's diary she gets more questions and thoughts in her mind. Her life has changed completely which affects her studies. But above all in her hard time, she had a friend Devyani who supported her in every possible way.

The book tells about emotions, affection, family and true friendship.

The essence of words with every chapter going on at a perfect pace makes it one of the amazing reads.

The title seems to be the most appropriate as it justifies the story and the plot.
