Review of "Maanav: The Hum"

Book: Manav, The Human

By: Ravi Ranjan Goswami

💡 "Manav The Human" is a short story written by Ravi Ranjan Goswami, set in a small town.

💡 The story revolves around the protagonist, Manav, and his stand against a local politician Chagan.

💡 Chagan's younger brother, Magan, gets involved in unlawful activities, leading to a clash between Manav and Magan.

💡 The resolution of this conflict becomes crucial for Chagan, as it can impact his own political career.

💡 The story is translated from Hindi by the author himself.

💡 The story is quite short, around 50 pages but the characterisation by author is upto the mark along with plot.

💡 The story reflects the reality of today's world politicians. (not all)

💡 Over all a great read.

Review of "Indian Puranic Plays"

Book: Indian Puranic Plays: Truth alone Triumphs
By: P. Thulasimani

Indian Puranic Plays is a collection of three puranic plays Yayati, Harishchandra and katha Sarita sagar. The author begins the book by explaining about mythology. The author very well highlights the difference between puranic and Vedic Gods and the beliefs.
"History is adorned with jewels of myths" Well stated in the book 📖 with the context to each play as it is observed in a new point of view.

First the play begins with Yayati the author introduces the characters and the plot and the author explains his belief and how a character is actually observed and how he has portrayed the characters.

Similarly followed by the other plays Harishchandra's, Chandrahari  and Katha Sarit Sagar.

I enjoyed the plays as its writing style of script was fabulous and quite engaging.
One observes the play in a new perspective.
Author has done a commendable job by working on these puranic plays for the new generation.

Highly recommended the book

Book:

By :  Lakshmanavaradhan_Vicky

The World of Ancients is one of the most unique concepts I ever came across. It is more of a magical adventure and the plot is very well developed by the author who worked on characters, storyline and the language in a very efficient way. The characters Akello, Shaw, Zaya and everyone else had their element to interest the reader.

The book is a magical world created by the author for all of us readers to experience the twists and turns in a magical way. The book is engaging and quite insightful in terms of way of writing by the author.

The language used by the author had various jargons that could relate to magical prophecies.

Overall, The World of Ancients is a read read and deep dive into a magical world with creativity all around.

Review of "Only Thoughts: Philosophy of Everything" by Sujal Sahu

Book: Only Thoughts: Philosophy of Everything

By: Sujal Sahu

Blurb:

#1 Hot New Release in philosophy, reference, and psychology from the launch, and also has been the best seller in philosophy and psychology (Kindle Store, India).

Philosophy is the first academic subject that was responsible for very profound progress but also retardness, especially today. If you ever read different philosophies, you must be very well aware of the contradiction of different kind or types of philosophy imposes. Philosophy without a doubt lead us to science i.e., a subject that always leads to progress and is dedicated to creating absolute, contradiction-free knowledge. But still despite the existence of science people are not clear about what part of philosophy was absolute, what are the necessities, what exactly overall philosophy means, and what is the subject of everything - is it philosophy?

That’s why I have written this book to clear those things and end philosophy once and for all. This book is meant to clear the bases of everything and also to eradicate the base of things that retard progress. This book is the 1st book written by mean which creates the base for every subject so that I can write the 2nd book “Co
nnectivity – Theory of Everything” and the 3rd book “Solution of All Prior Unsolved Paradoxes”. At last, I would say “judge a book by its index*”.

*Just in case you don’t know index doesn’t necessarily mean a list in order from A to Z at the end of the book containing the names which are the subjects that are referred to in the book, it can also be the Table of chapter or content which is the case for my books.

Review:

Well as stated by the author, judge a book by its index I would also say the same. The book is a strong philosophical idea of the author. It contains various concepts and ideologies of the writer by specifying the clarity between various jargons and hierarchy.

It is one of the most debatable book in its own as it states the reality and understanding of the thoughts. We all think of what's important and what really matters but do we know the real concept or the real meaning behind it?

Well our lives all are filled with thoughts and delusions which are factors for our decisions but figuring out the realistic and the unreal is deeply important. The author begins the book stating his motive behind it and how does all the book connects with the reader. Moving on the author's strong points that explain the real meaning of thought and knowledge adds to its value. There can we thoughts of various readers that may differ from the author but it takes a strong and courageous person to pen down all of this in such a compelling way.

At the end the difference between Monarchy and Democracy is well quoted by the author and then the hierarchy of needs graph explains the division of needs for survival.

Over all a great book to read!!

Review of 8 Things to do when you turn 20

8 Things to do when you turn 20 is an informative book by Debotosh Chatterjee. The book contains 8 major lessons that would be a helping hand to learn from mistakes of others.

As said by the author the 8 key points to achieve a better living include being self reliant, solution oriented, avoiding narrow mentality and....more ( read the book to explore them all).

I found each and every chapter quite relatable and Out of all these chapters I loved the concept of "ACQUAINTANCES VS FRIENDS" the most. As youth today believes in friendship factor more than anything this will open up the young minds to understand the difference between acquaintances and friends.

As said by the author himself, this book is an "appetiser" for young minds to be curious to explore more ideas. At the end the 80:20 principle in the conclusion was quite inspiring.

A must read for all who are in their early 20s. Kudos to the author for writing and sharing these life learnings.

Review of "Not You Please"

Kudos to the author Anuradha Dev for her debut novel Not You Please. This novel caught me off guard because it is romantic taste love triangle crisp.

The story is about Mishti, who is more of an introvert in a herd of extroverts. Her school life seems miserable as she had faced bully by one of the well known guy in their school, named, Vikram. The story starts with Mishti, Saahil and Vikram being assigned to the same team in a group project.

As the situation says a bully, an introvert and Sahil. Ok so who is Sahil?

May be a part of love triangle?

What do you guys feel?

More interesting facts will be revealed once you read the book and experience the school time love story, it's effects, it's actions and even nostalgia if you can relate it to your school days (in some events).

The book is short crisp and an amazing piece of story telling that made me lost in the story. The title seems the most appropriate one when you go through the chapters. The writing style of the author makes the book more readable and interesting to the reader.

Overall, a must read for all my readers!!

Review of "The Seventh Cup"

Book: The Seventh Cup

By: Nitesh Kumar Jain

VideoReview

The book "Seventh Cup" is one of the most mysterious books I've ever read. The story is full of suspense and twists in every coming page that makes the reader engaged.

Starting from Avinash, his story, his actions everything makes the book an amazing read. The characters were so well developed that it was hard to figure out what's fiction and what's going on in real world. In short, the book was so engaging and intriguing that one can be lost in it's imaginative world with the characters.

The book talks more about the Memory transportation of a being which is quite unique concept in terms of novel and stories making Seventh Cup, different from the rest.

Kudos to the Author for such a beautiful work.

Review:

What about reading a crime thriller that has twists and turns in every chapter?

I think that is what the reader loves when it comes to suspense and thrillers. This book "Criminals in Uniform" is a package of such events all across the chapters. The story highlights a crime scene where a explosive filled car is found in India's richest man house in Mumbai. The scene is all set up during 2021 when the world was already dealing with a lot of fuss due to Covid-19. The case went into highlights by the media and how the Police CIU unit came into action to find the truth behind the crime.

With every passing chapter the story turned more interesting and engrossing that I did finish it in two sittings. The plot of the book was very well set up with the magnificent use of words that made each and every event more imaginable to the user. It was more like a Web series or Film that was going on in my mind while I was reading it. The characters were strongly displayed and have played their part appropriately. The title suits the best with the storyline.

Talking about the overall experience while reading this book was awesome as I enjoyed the different angles of the story. Kudos to the authors for bringing up this masterpiece to light.

A Must read book for my readers!!!!!

Review of "Asht Yogi" by Ravi Ranjan Goswami

Book: Asht Yogi
By: Ravi Ranjan Goswami

The reason I got this book to my reading list was it's blurb that was too catchy. The circle of life is vicious and we all have a part to play but if we don't get answers to the way of life we don't actually live a life as it should be lived. The book 'Asht Yogi' revolves around the spiritual way to life. Reading this amazing work by the author has made me a fan of his writings. It may be short but to the point and magnificent. The story is about Guru Vishnudeva who creates an army of 8 (Asht) who would win over everything in the world; which makes the title the most appropriate one. The idea behind this book was to portray the values and importances of Yogas in our lives through the fictional stories.

Overall, the book is worth reading. A book that contains a life lesson.
Appreciation to the author by me and a lot more by my mother who enjoyed reading it.

Review of "The Native Aliens"

Book: The Native Aliens
By : Ravi Rajan Goswami

Blurb:
5000 years ago a king in India desired to go to heaven with his physical body and a Brahamarishi Vishvamitra sent him, but Devas stopped him on the way.

Review:
The book, The Native Aliens is a short story about the formation of a new earth alike planet, Sika.
How and what led to the formation of this planet?
The story starts with a twist when a gril appears on the smart tv of Raju when he was home alone. Making Raju and his family think that it was a spyware that caused this.

Further, the story reveals the girl on the screen, Marsika, was from the planet Sika who came to earth to learn more about the people here. The story of Rishi Vashishtha, King Vishvamitra and Trishanku explains the urge show of power by the king that led to the formation of thia new planet Sika.

The interesting part of the story of the motive of King to die along with his body to heaven.

Overall this short read was quite interesting and well written by the author.
Proper terminologies for scientific research of planet Sika and further more the style of writing adds to it's beauty.

A good read for anyone who loves short stories.

Review of "From Slave to Separate but Equal"

Book: From Slave to Separate but Equal

By: Paul Kalra

Blurb

A century and a half ago the first shots fired at Fort Sumter began the Civil War that claimed 620,000 American lives—more than all other wars the country has waged. In From Slave to Separate but Equal, Paul Kalra challenges the assumption that the Civil War was fought to end black slavery in the United States.

.........

Review:

The book From Slave to Separate but equal, as the name suggests, is a Colonial Period History book that talks about the ancient American society. The Ancient American history events are very well explained by the author with the beautiful portraying of events through his words.

The book talks about the four tried society, slavery system, the differences amongst the people of the society and how each and every event led to the freedom of the blacks.

The blacks were denied their basic rights as a human and were living painful life similar to animals. The book gives information about various civil rights and the wars that led to the freedom of the people.

The Lincoln's Plan to the demon of the society and many such events are highlighted in the book with a well explained background f the situation prevailing at that time.

The author has well researched about the events and the incidents that took place in the past through papers, books and many more which has made this book more clear with the flow of events. The author has been able to maintain the pace of the story in a great way that none of the events seem exaggerated or too crisp.

Over all, the book seems to be a lengthy one but has covered almost the most important events related to Colonial Period History. The language is easy to understand with almost no use of jargons. There can be no other title as suitable as this.

Overall, a great history book.
