Mool Mantra - The Mūl Mantar is the opening verse of the Sikh scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib. It consists of twelve words which are almost known by all but understood by few. The author begins the book with these golden words and the indepth meaning of each word.

I being from a Sindhi family, who follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji found it to be a major readon to choose this book to read.

Having read the first chapter I realized that this is what one needs to read. We all must have heard about One God but do we actually know how he is or why do we  and many more questions.

The concept of reality and God is very well explained by the author. I would say this is the first book in which I loved each and every line and each and every chapter because of the pathit showed me. 

The book is based on the superior of all, The God. 

How can one find him? 

How can one change to attain peace? 

How one needs to identify the path that leads to God? 

All of these questions have just one answer that is this book, Mool Mantra.

I would like to share a line from the book that touched me.

Books have been written, but God cannot be written.

I haven't heard a better truth than this. We believe in books but all we need to do is to believe in the Almighty. 

Guru Nanak's teachings are a way to beautiful life. I believe spiritual life is what one needs rather than a fake materialistic life. 

At last I would like to thank the author for such an amazing book. It changed my way of thinking about God and Life. 

Talking about the book, the length was enough to keep you engaged and love it. I took a little more time reading it as I was able to relate my life and think about it. Each and every chapter has it's own uniqueness. 

Overall it was the best read ever.

Would highly recommend this book to my loved ones and my readers!!!

Fate or Destiny as the name suggests the story deals with philosophical theme, mental health and memories. The story is set in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the depiction of the set and the plot by the budding author makes it enjoyable to read. 

As per being new to the writing world the author has made great efforts to keep the writing style as per standards and to not run with the plot and leave it's pace. Each and every part was very well explained with the words that express emotions effectively.

I considerd it more of a rom-com novel as the descriptions were adding a funny element and the romance story was made amazing. The author tried to develop strong characters but somewhere it felt that this part needs some reworking.

The story is more of conversation. And the best part was that every chapter ends with a crossword puzzle which is related to the chapter. 

Apart from that I enjoyed readng it and felt it was worth my time.

Will surely suggest it to my readers.

Review:

I was suggested this book by a friend of mine and I would really say that it deserves to be read by many. At first I thought the book is about pain and emotions as the black rose symbolises pain and death.

The story kept me engaged from the beginning till the end and the writing style was amazing. The character of Rose and Franklin was very well developed. Each and every event was explained so well that I was stuck with it's imagination. The love of Rose and Franklin and how the death of Franklin changed the life of Rose and the massacre of Tulsa everything went up with the flow of the book. 

Though the book was short (a novella it is) but it was intriguing. The title was well suited as per the story and the beautiful cover added to it's beauty.

Overall an amazing book to read!!

Author Interview of Pramudith D. Rupasinghe

1. Please tell us a little bit about you.

I can describe myself in a few words if you ask about my personal life. But if you ask me to talk about my profession, it is complicated. I am almost doing everything, and everywhere. 

Between every long chapter, there is a long sweaty run. I run a lot wherever I am. It is the starter of my day.

Running is the bridge between my personal life and professional life. And writing is my passion.

I have been working as a humanitarian diplomat for the last 18 years in different parts of the world, working in both natural disaster and conflict contexts, including the Global Ebola Response in West Africa. However, I started my writing career in 2016, very recently- almost 6 years ago. I have been writing a lot of unpublished stuff before early 2016. In 2016, I published my debut semi-fiction “Footprints in Obscurity”. In November I published “Behind the Eclipse ''.  Upon publishing “Behind the Eclipse'' I started getting more and more international attention. My latest piece of writing came out in 2018, Bayan, a story set in the North-Eastern tip of Ukraine, then the Soviet Union.

2. I read your book Bayan and there's something that stuck my mind that why did you choose this particular story to write.

The idea of writing Bayan came to my mind after meeting Ivan in Okhtyrka, in Sumy Oblast, Ukraine, it was in early 2015 and we have chatted a few times, I was charmed by the landscape of the country, wondered by the architecture and rich culture, retouched by the warmth and wisdom of its people, marvelled by the proud history of the country, and saddened by the socio-political dynamics of the country leading to a calamity. Then see the people of Ivans age-sons and daughters of parents who were WWII victims, who had lived their good old day's un soviet union, and faced the fall of the USSR overnight in 1991, and lost everything they earned over years. Today they are battling with modern democratic, capitalistic society to which they are complete aliens. The story depicts the strive of those ageing people through its main character, Ivan Nikolaevich. Bayan old soviet instrument- with hard buttons and heavy body, symbolises the fallen-USSR, and its Ethan of life. Its played by Ivan whenever he is sad, happy and indifferent, in an era where there are easy to play lighter accordions are in available. It is his companion who knows his rhythm and would never judge his feeble melodies. Bayan depicts besides its several sub-themes and sociopolitical dynamics of Ukraine in its backdrop, ageing in changing times. That is relevant not only to those who are in Eastern block but also to people of the other parts of the earth.

3. You have written many novels. Amongst them, which story is closely related to you? If any.

First of all, I can't deny that a little bit of me is there in each story I write. It happens to every author. We, as authors choose a story, at least there is a liking in us for some subject matter, a story, or a character. Every book I have written, something related to me could be found—that could be consciously done, or unconscious. However, Behind the Eclipse, a story set in West Africa during the time of the Ebola epidemic in 2013-2016 seems relevant to what we all face today. Almost seven years ago, there was a time we had to maintain physical distance, perform ritualistic hand-washing, and stay home. And Behind the Eclipse talks about a time like today highlighting the irreversible transformation of West Africa, and the unparalleled resilience of the human.

4. What are you working on currently? Any new novel. If yes please share something about it.

Currently, I am working on another novel, a story set in Bangladesh, about the world’s largest open brothel- Kandopora in Tegali district in Bangladesh. I was beefy in Bangladesh early this year and finished the first draft of the manuscript in Cox Bazar, Bangladesh. Now the second draft is ready for beta readers. 

Hopefully, my readers around the world wil l have the opportunity to have a copy within this year.

5. A message for your readers and budding writers.

The publishing world has become more and more competitive recently, and perseverance has become as important as your skills today. Believe in yourself, your writing, and be perseverant. 

Ernest Hemingway has set a good example; writing a story and getting it published is just the beginning. There is no shortcut, you need to roll up your sleeves and take your story to your readers.

The plot of the book is so intriguing and interesting. The writing style of the author is simple and that adds up to the ease of reading the book and maintaining the flow. The story is face paced yet amazing. 

The title The Cursed Inheritance is 💯 appropriate as the story is about the cursed mansion which she inherited. Overall the story was a 5 star one as I could not stop me from reading it in one go.

I would really recommend it to all the readers. Grab your book it has a lot of suspense and thrill..

I appreciate the writing style of the author as the narration felt realistic with no additional drama and made it a great read for me. 

It was my first read of the author and I loved the theme and setting of the book. 

Adding to the contents the language was crisp but needs to be worked on. The cover is really beautiful with the most suitable title.

Overall, a good read.

Coming to book the narration is very well done with the well developed plot nd story line. The best part was the writing style that engrossed me. The book is intriguing. The language used by the author is lucid. I began with 2 chapters but later I couldn't resist myself from reading the book in a go. 

The book is 365 pages long but the time spent on reading it is worth. You'll enjoy it. Mythology has a great effect when you read about it. And this one was one of the best reads I've ever read. 

The title is something that will make you think what this book could have but it has a lot to be discovered and it's amazing with a beautiful cover. 

I'd like to recommend this book to every reader.
